Pakistani linked to ISI is the mastermind of Kabul attack, Maulvi Aslam Farooqui is the leader of ISIS-Khorasan
New Delhi- Maulvi Aslam Farooqui, the leader of IS-Khorasan, who claimed responsibility for the suicide attack at Kabul airport, is in the news. He is a Pakistani and is believed to be the mastermind of Thursday’s attack on Kabul airport. Aslam Farooqui is also the mastermind of several attacks in the past in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. He had hatched a conspiracy to attack a Gurudwara in Kabul in March last year. Many Afghan Sikhs and one Indian were killed in this.
IS-Khorasan terrorists coordinate with the Haqqani network to carry out attacks in Kabul. According to experts, Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency ISI has close links with both these terrorist organizations. Through both of these, she monitors the activities of Taliban in Afghanistan.
Afghan forces arrested Aslam in April last year, but after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, all the terrorists, including Aslam, were released from Baghram’s prison. He has admitted that he has links with the ISI. It is now believed that Aslam Farooqui is the mastermind of the Kabul airport attack, while the Taliban claim that IS-Khorasan is its arch enemy.
Interestingly, after the occupation of Afghanistan on August 15, it was the Taliban who released Aslam Farooqui from prison. It is said that for the first time in late 2014, the terrorist organization IS-Khorasan came to the fore in Afghanistan. This terrorist organization has carried out several attacks on government bases and military bases of other countries in Kabul and other cities. In April 2017, the US dropped a Mother of All bomb on a hideout in Achin district in eastern Afghanistan to target IS-Khorasan militants.
